Survey shows majority of Galway businesses are growing
Galway bay fm newsroom – The majority of businesses in Galway are either growing or have stabilised, according to a new report commissioned by Bank of Ireland.
The National Enterprise Week survey among Irish Small and Medium sized businesses was conducted by iReach.
It reveals that almost 60 percent of companies here are growing or maintaining the status quo with 16 percent looking to downsize.
The report also reveals that 58 percent of Galway businesses have recruited new staff in the past 12 months, with over half planning to take on more staff next year.
Other details contained in the survey show that almost half of Galway business leaders want banks to provide start-up packages.
