SUBSTANTIAL DRUG SEIZURE IN SALTHILL

Gardai in Salthill have seized drugs with an estimated street value of between 20 and 25 thousand euro in an operation in the Barna Woods area.

The drugs seized are understood to be ecstacy and possibly a quantity of cocaine.

The drugs are understood to have been found in an undergrowth in Barna Woods and they have been sent to Garda headquarters for technical analysis.

Investigation by Salthill Gardai is continuing but as yet no arrests have been made.
