SUBMISSION ON REFORM OF WATER SECTOR IN GALWAY

Government plans to reform the water sector will lead to a loss of local democracy and accountability across County Galway and nationwide.

That’s according to a submission by Galway County Council following a public consultation process on the proposed new public utility.

The submission also highlights potential issues with legal liability, asset liability and universal metering.
