STUDENTS TO MARCH IN CITY AGAINST FEES HIKE

Students are to set march through Galway city this afternoon in protest against the planned increase in third level fees.

Led by Free Education for Everyone Galway and NUIGalway Students’ Union, the march will begin at NUIG’s campus around 1p.m.

The students will then march past the Cathedral to Eyre Square where a number of speakers will address the crowd.

They’re angry at plans to increase third level fees to 3 thousand euro by 2015.
