Strong interest from buyers prompts new phase in Knocknacarra estate
The second phase of a new development on the western side of the city – the first residential development for seven years – is set to be launched.
The first phase of 12 homes at Maoilín on the Ballymoneen Road sold out after going on sale during the summer, and selling agents are now inviting prospective buyers to register their interest in Phase 2.
Burkeway Homes, launched the initial phase of the houses to the market in July.
These consisted of 3 bed semi-detached and 4 bed detached homes. Interest and demand was “very strong” from the market and resulted in all twelve houses selling promptly.
Michael Burke, Managing Director of Burkeway Homes said: “Purchasers were attracted to the fact that the development is designed as ‘traditional’ semi detached and detached homes with generous open space amenity areas, well designed large homes and the fact that all homes have ‘A’ energy ratings, resulting in very low running costs.
“We are delighted with the reaction from interested buyers to the development and particularly the house styles. We are hugely encouraged by the demand for these properties and are happy that we are offering a high quality, easily run, family home to buyers.
“The construction of Phase 1 houses is well underway, with the houses now at roof level and on target for completion in March 2016”.
Phase 2 will have a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed semi-detached homes and some detached homes.
