STEP FORWARD IN PROVIDING NEW SCHOOLS IN DOUGHISKA

There has been a step forward in the process of providing two new schools at Doughiska in the city.

The City Council has granted outline permission to the Department of Education for a 450 pupil two-storey primary school and a 650 pupil, 2-3 storey secondary school in Doughiska.

The outline permission paves the way for the the invitation of pre-qualification tenders.

It’s hoped that building on the new schools will begin in 2011.
