Status Orange wind warning in Galway for Storm Diana

A Status Orange wind warning will be in place in Galway tomorrow, with Storm Diana expected to bring gusts up to 130km/h and potential flooding from high seas.

The warning is in place from 9am until 2pm on Wednesday, with severe south to southwest winds of 65 to 80km/h and gusts of 110 to 130km/h. High tide in Galway is around 8.25am.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has asked road users to exercise caution and check local weather and traffic conditions and be aware of the conditions before setting out on a trip.
