Status orange thunderstorm warning for Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange thunderstorm warning for Galway.
The national forecaster says storm activity is expected this evening, overnight and again tomorrow.
Intense thundery downpours are likely at times, with possibly some flash flooding in places.
Connacht and west Ulster will be most at risk this evening, while MET Eireann’s alert also extends to Munster and Leinster.
The warning, which was issued this evening, will remain in place until 9pm tomorrow.
