State pathologist to investigate city death
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardai are investigating an incident in a bar in the city early today after a which a man died in University Hospital Galway.
The man, a 60-year-old city native, suffered a suspected cardiac arrest following an alleged assault in Crowe’s Bar on Bohermore between 2 and 3 this morning.
He was taken to UHG where he died at 8 this morning.
A 52 year old man, also from the city, presented himself at Mill Street Garda station this morning and is being detained.
The State Pathologist is due to carry out a post-mortem examination on the man later today.
