STATE BEGINS CLOSING SPEECH IN GALWAY RAPE TRIAL
Date Published: 23-Jul-2010
“Opportunity was knocking and advantage was taken” – that’s a legal submission to a rape trial jury at Galway courthouse this lunchtime.
State prosecutor Bernard Condon has begun his closing speech to the jury in the trial of a Galway man accused of the rape and sexual assault of a 17 year old babysitter at a Galway location on July 27th 2008.
The man, who’s in his late 30s and cannot be named for legal reasons, denies both charges.
