Stabbing claims life of Claregalway man

GALWAY Gardaí are today trying to piece together the final minutes of a young 20 year old County Galway man’s life before he was brutally stabbed to death in a random and unprovoked knife attack on the streets of Galway city.
Kieran Cunningham of Slievefinn, Claregalway, died shortly after suffering a number of stab wounds in the city centre in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Superintendent Tom Curley, who is heading the investigation, described the incident as an “horrific attack” on a young man who had “an excellent record and was never in trouble with Gardaí”.
