SPIDDAL MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR FIREARMS OFFENCES

A date has been set for the trial of a Spiddal man charged with firearm offences.

Kieran Smyth of Park in Spiddal appeared in custody before Galway Circuit Criminal Court.

He pleaded guilty to having firearms in his possession under suspicious circumstances at Carrowmoneash, Oranmore on March 10th, 2003.

Judge Groake remanded Smyth in continuing custody to appear again on November 16th.
