Special screening of new Galway-based comedy

A SPECIAL advance screening of a new Irish television comedy drama series based on the city’s most famous festival, the Galway Races, will be shown this weekend as part of the 21st Galway Film Fleadh.
Rásaí na Gaillimhe tells the tale of a disparate group of characters who converge on Galway for the annual Summer racing festival. The series was shot on-location in the city last Autumn and includes scenes from Ballybrit Racecourse, Quay Street and Eyre Square and other areas local viewers will be familiar with.
The actors will be familiar to an Irish audience too and the series includes a star-studded cast including Don Wycherley (Bachelor’s Walk), Séamus Moran (Fair City) Owen Roe (Ballykissangel) Eoin Mac Diarmada (Rós na Rún) as well as Seán T Ó Meallaigh, Hughie McGarvey, Tomas Ó Súilleabháin, Ruth Bradley, Frankie McClafferty and Gavin O’Connor.
