SPATE OF BURGLARIES IN DUNMORE AND HEADFORD

Gardai are investigating a spate of burglaries in two locations in the county where theives sought out either gold jewellery or cash.

In Dunmore, three rural houses were raided – two located in Gort na Goyne and the other, about half a mile outside the town on the Clonberne Road.

Gardai believe the incidents took place around midnight last night [Nov 11] and that all three are linked.

Meanwhile, in Headford, Gardai are investigating three further robberies where raiders ransacked properties in Ballyrickard and Glencorrib.

Thousands of euro worth of gold jewellery was stolen and some cash.

Gardai believe all three incidents occured as darkness fell last evening.
