Sp€nd christmas in Galway

IT IS estimated that Galway households will spend more €100 million on Christmas Shopping and in the New Year’s Sales, and local businesses are asking people to ensure that money is spent locally.

The Galway Chamber of Commerce has launched its fourth Sp€nd Christmas in Galway campaign, saying that by spending your money in Galway, you are helping to secure jobs locally.

The campaign was launched by Mayor of Galway, CllrTom Costello, who said that “we have to fight our corner and take our share of the market.

This campaign is a step in the right direction”.

The CEO of Galway Chamber, Michael Coyle, said that Galway has everything a shopper needs, so there is no need to take your Christmas and Sales euro elsewhere in the next six weeks or so.
