ONE of the most famous TV couples of all time — JR and Sue Ellen Ewing — brought a bit of the glitz and glamour to Galway during a flying visit to the city yesterday (Monday).

Fresh from their Friday night Late Late Show appearance on RTE 1, the popular actors Larry Hagman and Linda Gray stayed at the g Hotel on Sunday before they headed off for afternoon tea at Ashford Castle on Monday.

But before they left the city, they did a spot of shopping and sightseeing taking in craft shops and traditional pubs. They walked down Shop Street undeterred by fans, who may not have recognised them in their hats and sunglasses!

The stars of the 1980s hit TV series Dallas attended the Punchestown Races earlier this weekend where they judged the Best Dressed looks for male and female punters and had heard such good reports about Galway that they decided to ………..
