Songwriter brings musical magic to Galway

Limerick born singer/songwriter Don Mescall will play upstairs in the Róisín Dubh this Sunday, November 18.

It’s been a very successful year for Mescall, who divides his time between Nashville, New York and Folkstone in Kent.

The Backstreet Boys have recorded his songs Trouble Is and Rascal Flatts, one of the biggest names in country, have included Mescall’s Secret Smile on their latest album.

Tired of playing the pub scene in his native county Mescall moved to England in 1991 to concentrate on his own, original songs.

His first big break came in 1993.
