SLOWDOWN IN CITY PROPERTY MARKET BUT RISE IN COUNTY

Galway city is experiencing a slowdown in the property market, while there is a growth in the county.

A new report on the property market is claiming that housing asking prices in the city have dropped by 2% since March.

Effectively, it means that house prices in the city have fallen in the 1st six months of this year.

However, the study by daft-dot-ie has found asking prices in the county have grown by 2.3% in the last 3 months-that’s a rise of about 7000 euro.

The average house price in County Galway is now just under 310,000 euro.
