Skeffington Arms in city pays over 4 million to Revenue
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A hotel in the heart of the city has made the second largest settlement with the Revenue Commissioners.
The Skeffington Arms Hotel in Eyre Square paid over four million as part of the agreement.
Over 27 million euro in tax settlements were made with the Revenue Commissioners between July and September.
The latest Tax Defaulters list names 88 people – eight of whom paid over one million euro in taxes and penalties.
The largest settlement was made by retired company director John Joseph McCarthy formerly of Flower Lodge in Strawhall in Fermoy in Co Cork.
He paid over six point two million.
The Skeffington Arms Hotel in Eyre Square in Galway made the second largest settlement – amounting to over four million.
Parnell GAA Club in Dublin also features on the list for a payment of more than one hundred thousand euro.
