SIX REMANDED IN CUSTODY OVER WEEKEND COUNTY DRUGS SEIZURE

Six Vietnamese nationals, four men, a woman and a teenager have been remanded in custody charged in connection with a significant drug seizure in the Galway area.

An estimated 264 thousand euro worth of cannabis plants were discovered during Garda raids on three houses in Oughterard, Dunmore and Tuam over the weekend.

All six appeared before Judge Mary Fahy at Galway District Court today [Sept 17].
