SIX GALWAY COURTS TO CLOSE

The Courts Service will close six courts in County Galway from January as part of a restructuring programme.

In the first major revision of the District Court Service in over 40 years, the courts to be closed will be amalgamated into other districts.

According to today’s Irish Times, the Courts to close in Galway are, Dunmore, Glenamaddy, Oughterard, Headford, Carna and Kinvara.

They will be amalgamated with courts in Tuam, Clifden, Spiddal, Galway, Derrynea and Gort/Ennistymon.
