Singing sensation Ryan Sheridan to perform at HMV this Saturday
Date Published: 05-May-2011
Singer-songwriter Ryan Sheridan will be performing live and signing copies of his debut album, The Day You Live Forever, at HMV in Galway City this Saturday evening.
The Monaghan musician made a splash in the Irish music scene last year with the release of his debut single, Jigsaw, which transpired to be one of the biggest radio hits of the year. The launch of the album marks a successful year for the guitarist that started out with him and percussionist Arthur Grazcyk playing on the streets of Temple Bar.
Sheridan was spotted there by his current management team and has since signed for the record label Rubyworks. The release of The Day You Live Forever appears to be the next step in what is shaping up to be a very exciting music career for the Monaghan man.
He played at Oxegen, Electric Picnic and Benicassim in Spain last summer, as well as supporting some top acts at Irish gigs, including Rodrigo y Gabriela, Mark Lanegan and Wallis Bird. He played his first headline tour around Ireland last December.
He comes to Galway as part of a series of live gigs to launch The Day You Live Forever in locations such as Dublin, Monaghan, Kilkenny and Limerick.
Ryan Sheridan will perform live in HMV at Edward Square at 5pm this Saturday, May 7 and will be signing copies of his debut album in the store afterwards.
