SIGNING OF CONTRACTS FOR NEXT PHASE OF TUAM’S ‘BIG-DIG’

Today will be remembered as a milestone for the people of Tuam, according to Mayor of County Galway Tom McHugh,

The long awaited signing of contracts will take place in Tuam Town Hall at lunchtime marking the next phase of the town’s "Big Dig" project.

The Tuam Water Distribution and Main Drainage project involves an investment of over 28 million euro and will take two years to complete.

Coffey Construction Limited and Ryan Hanley Consulting Engineers will put pen to paper to begin work in the town.

The council will also use the opportunity to install broadband and gas infrastructure during the construction phase.
