Significant increase in new car sales in Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom – There’s been a significant increase in new car registrations in Galway – with over 40% more new car registrations in July this year compared with last year.
677 new cars were purchased in the county last month when the 1-4-2 registration began, an increase of 272 on July of 2013.
According to the Society for the Irish Motor Industry, last month was the best July on record for vehicle registrations on a national level – with a 61% increase on last year’s figure.
So far this year, 3324 new cars have been sold in Galway.
This compares to 2597 cars sold during the same period last year – an overall increase of over 20%.
