SIGNIFICANT DRUGS SEIZURE IN LOUGHREA

A Vietnamese man is being held for questioning following a significant drugs seizure in the Loughrea area this morning.

100 thousand euro worth of Cannabis plant was discovered at a private dwelling in Raheen in Oughter.

Members of the Loughrea district drugs unit and Galway divisional drugs unit carried out a planned search of the house in raheen, Oughter at 9:30 this morning.

They uncovered a sophisticated hydrophonic cannabis cultivation factory, and seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 100 thousand euro.

A 47 year old vietnamese national was arrested under section 2 of the criminal justice drug traffiicing act 1997.
