Shortlists are announced for 2018 Galway Chamber Awards

A host of Galway’s industrial and economic pioneers have made the cut for the Galway Chamber Business Awards 2018, in association with Shannon Group plc.

The shortlist features a mix of new and established businesses across all sectors of local industry. The Awards – across seven categories – attracted a record number of entries this year, all of a very high calibre.

There are also two special awards chosen on the night – the overall Business of the Year, sponsored by Shannon Group plc, will be awarded to one of the seven category winners.

And the President’s Award, sponsored by PwC, is presented to an individual who has made a substantial contribution to the business life of Galway. The recipient is chosen by the President of Galway Chamber in consultation with his officer board.

The Awards celebrate all that is good about Galway’s business community, the theme for this year being ‘Western Edge, Global Ambition’. This theme captures the spirit and determination of Galway businesses to make their enterprises succeed locally, nationally and internationally.

All winners will be announced at a Gala Ball on Saturday, December 1, in the Galway Bay Hotel where they will receive unique pieces by ceramic artist Rachel Webb. #
