SHOPLIFTING GANGS TARGETTING COUNTY GALWAY SHOPS

Gardaí are warning shopkeepers around County Galway that gangs of shoplifters may be on the prowl following an incident in Tuam in recent days.

Tuam Gardai say that a gang of foreign nationals targeted Duffy’s Pharmacy in the town last week and made off with items.

Tuam Gardaí say that some of the gang entered Duffy’s Pharmacy and distracted the attendants while others in the group took items and made off with them.

They have since examined CCTV footage from the shop and they believe that a group of foreign nationals were involved.

Tuam Gardai say other shopkeepers around the county should be wary.
