SHOCK IN TUAM AT DIVERS DEATH

The Tuam area is in shock today at the death of former resident Gabriel Ryan, who died in a diving accident in Killaray Harbour off the Connemara coast at the week-end.

Gabriel who is in his early 40s is the son of Julian and Patrica Ryan of 8 Fairgreen Heights, Tuam.

His father was member of the Garda Siochana in the town for many years and retired from the force over ten years ago.

A past pupil of St. Jarlath’s College, Team, Gabriel Ryan had been living and working in the UK for many years.

He was on a short visit home when the tragic diving accident claimed his life on Sunday evening.
