SHARP RISE IN NEW CARS SOLD IN GALWAY LAST MONTH

The soicety of the Irish Motor Industry is reporting a 43 percent increase in new cars sold here last month compared to the same period last year.

522 new cars were registered in Galway in February, compared to 365 in February 2009.

Meanwhile, seven newly registered lorries were sold in Galway last month, compared to two in the same period last year

21 new vans were also sold across the county in February compared to 9 in February ’09.
