SHANNON FLOOD STUDY TO INCLUDE BALLINASLOE

Ballinasloe is to be included in a major five year flood study of the River Shannon.

The River Suck which flows through Ballinasloe is to be covered by the ‘Shannon catchment flood risk assessment and management study’.

The study aims to produce a plan of specific measures to address significant flood risk factors in a proactive and comprehensive way.

There will also be full consultation with individuals and organisations who have an interest in the project.
