September deadline for submission of Docks project application
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway Harbour Company has set a deadline of the end of September to submit the planning application for the multi-million euro redevelopment of the Docks.
There has been a lengthy delay in submitting the application to An Bord Pleanála.
The Harbour Company is hoping that the planning authority will grant approval for the project to proceed through the IROPI process.
This is for projects of over-riding public interest.
The project includes the extension of the harbour to accommodate large freight ships and cruise liners.
