Security Authority warns Galway companies about breaching standards
The Private Security Authority is warning security companies in Galway that it will take action if they breach standards.
It follows the prosecution of an unlicenced security contractor at a sitting of Loughrea District Court.
The PSA took the case against Kingglynn Security Limited trading as Professional Security Services Ireland.
The case related to the provision of a door supervisor at Keane’s Bar, Old Church Street Athenry on St. Stephen’s night last.
A PSA inspector detected that the door supervision service was unlicenced.
Judge Geoffrey Browne imposed fines and costs totalling 2 thousand 734 euro against Kingglynn Security.
CEO of the PSA, Geraldine Larkin says they will take all necessary action to keep the public safe.
