Date Published: 06-Apr-2010
Education cutbacks will top the agenda of the ASTI’s annual conference which gets underway in the city centre shortly.
500 delegates from all over the country are beginning to gather at the Radisson Blu Hotel for the opening at midday.
The first session open to the public and media will take place at 2pm.
The newly appointed Minister for Education and Skills Mary Coughlan has not been invited to the Secondary Teachers conference.
General Secretary John White says the decision was taken in January in protest at the abolition of the middle management structure in schools.
