SECOND CHANCE FOR GALWAY STUDENT GRANTS

The new Student Grant Appeals Board will create a fairer and more transparent system for students wishing to study in Galway.

That’s according to NUI Galway Students’ Union President, Emmet Connolly, who says the appeals board will mean a vital second chance for some students.

Seven members have been appointed to the independent body, including its chairperson Maureen Waldron, who is a former Director of the Department of Social Protection.
