SECOND ATHENRY SCHOOL TO GET NEW ACCOMMODATION

A gaelscoil operating out of pre-fabs in Athenry has been given welcome news that its to move to a permanent building.

It was announced yesterday [6/10] that Vocational school, Gairmscoil Mhuire in Athenry is to get a brand new building on a greenfield site outside the town in 2014.

It’s now been revealed that Coláiste na hEachraigh, which has 110 pupils, will then move into Gairmscoil Mhuire’s old building.

Over the past 6 years, the two schools have shared teaching and physical resources.
