SEARCH CONTINUING OFF ARAN ISLAND FOR MISSING HOLIDAY MAKER

The major search off the Aran Island of Inis Oírr has resumed for a missing Derry holiday-maker.

The 47-year-old, who was holidaying with his wife, was last seen at around 10 o’clock on Saturday night on the North West side of the island.

Valentia Coastguard is co-ordinating the air and sea search operation which involves, the Gardai, islanders, the Aran lifeboat and the Shannon-based Irish Coastguard Helicopter
