Singer Seán Keane will return to the City’s Town Hall Theatre next Thursday and Friday night, December 11 December 12, with his successful show, Christmas by the Hearth.

The Caherlistrane man first performed Christmas by the Hearth in the venue last year, when he gave his own, unique interpretation to well-known Christmas songs and carols as well as performing material from his own repertoire.

Since then, Seán has been touring extensively at home and abroad, most recently in Norway, Spain, England and the USA.

For his shows in the Town Hall, Seán will be joined by Pat Coyne on guitar and Stephen Doherty on piano flute and accordion. The special guest will be Fergal Scahill from We Banjo 3. In addition to singing, Seán, a talented instrumentalist, will play tin whistle, low whistle, flute and harmonica.

He has released a new album to accompany the Christmas by the Hearth tour, which contains classics like Oh Holy Night, Silent Night, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, as well as some traditional instrumental pieces and three new Christmas songs. They are Poughkeepsie, Stay a While, and Christmas by the Hearth.

The new songs are a collaboration between Seán Keane, Johnny Broderick and Iggy Broderick.

Seán’s Christmas by the Hearth shows on December 11 and 12 will start at 8pm nightly. Tickets are €20 each and available at tht.ie, from 091-569777 and at the box office.
