Tuam-based poet and songwriter Seamus Ruttledge returns to Campbell’s Tavern, Headford, with a group called The Full Outfit this Saturday night (9pm).

‘Elementary Chaos’ is the name of the show which features a mixture of spoken word and musical performances, exploring themes as diverse as male stereotypes, international affairs, lust and glory.

The show was first performed at the Cuirt festival of literature last year and also won over the punters at last year’s Electric Picnic, so much so that Seamus and The Full Outfit have been invited back for this year’s festival.

Members of the band include Leo Moran of The Saw Doctors (guitar and commentary), multi-instrumentalist Willow Sea, Michael Durham of the Galway Gospel Choir (vocals), Jamie O’Neill (percussion) and Pearse Doherty (bass).

• MC for the evening is Paulo na Mona and the musicians will be joined by a number of special guests. Admission costs €8.
