Schoolkids discover joy of sailing

IN a city surrounded by water, sailing still seems to be the sport of the elite, but efforts are now being made to change that by introducing it to primary schoolchildren.
And during the week, a group of 11 year old pupils from St. Patricks School, were the first primary school to test the waters when 18 of them enjoyed a three hour taster on Lough Atalia.
The 18 boys paid €15 each for the session and they seemed to love every minute.
The experience was topped when they were joined by up to 20 seals who swam after their dinghies.
