Santa is on course despite Galway traffic
Elves in the North Pole have assured children that Santa’s delivery schedule will not be affected by Galway’s chronic traffic congestion.
But it’s understood that the boys and girls in the City Council’s Transportation Unit are shivering in their shoes that Santa will leave them coal instead of presents this year.
According to a spokes-elf in the North Pole, while traffic in Galway is always really bad, Santa has the latest super-duper Sat Nav system in his sleigh, which allows him to change traffic lights from red to green.
While he usually flies through the skies with his reindeer, Santa will need to spare his magic dust along the west of Ireland, in case he runs into storms when he moves on to America.
The spokes-elf said: “It won’t be a problem for the Big Guy. He’s well used to whizzing around the world, and he has the latest technology in his sleigh. All presents will be delivered to good boys and girls on time.”
A very Happy Christmas to all our readers, advertisers and friends from the staff of the Connacht Tribune and Galway City Tribune.
