SALTHILL MURDER ACCUSED ARRANGING TO TAKE UP BAIL

30 year old Maura Thornton, who’s charged with the murder of 59 year old Kevin Joyce in Salthill has appeared before Dublin District Court.

She’s to appear in court again in three weeks time.

Yesterday, Miss Thornton of 183 Upper Salthill was granted bail by the High Court.

Judge Denis McLoughlin has remanded her in custody with consent to take up bail.

It’s now understood Mr Joyce was an American native who resided in Mayo for a short time.

No funeral arrangements have yet been made because he has no family living in Ireland.
