SALTHILL BASED DEVELOPER FAILS TO HAVE CEMENT TRUCK CASE STRUCK OUT

Lawyers for Salthill-based property developer, Joe McNamara, have failed to get a charge of criminal damage struck out of court today.[25/11]

The 41-year-old, with an address at Dún na Carraige, Salthill was arrested after allegedly damaging the gates of Leinster House with a cement truck in September.

His solicitor Cahir O’Higgins told Dublin District Court today that his client has been charged with a fairly minor offence.

The judge refused to have the matter struck out and put the case back for DPP directions on December 16th.
