RULING MADE AS PART OF APPLICATION TO HAVE CITY SOLICITOR STRUCK OFF

A ruling has been made as part of an application by the Law Society to strike off a city solicitor over the alleged misappropriation of client monies.

The Law Society wants to strike off Michael J Murphy, a solicitor formerly practising as MJ Murphy and Co, Lower Salthill.

High Court President ,Mr Justice Nicholas Kearns, has ruled that when solicitors are struck off, they are still amenable to the profession’s disciplinary process.
