ROSCOMMON HOSPITAL GROUP OBJECTS TO UHG CAR PARK

The Roscommon Hospital Action Committee is objecting to plans by the HSE West to build a new car park at University Hospital Galway.

City planners are considering plans for the single storey car park on an existing car park at the Newcastle hospital campus.

The Roscommon group also argues that the application for a new car park at UHG should include and Environmental Impact Statement.

They also describe the car park as a ‘stop-gap’ measure that is economically unsustainable.
