ROAD REOPENS IN DUNMORE AFTER FATAL CRASH

The road between Dunmore and Clonberne has re-opened following a fatal motorcycle crash yesterday. [5/2]

A Garda forensic collision team carried out an examination of the scene at Killavoher this morning following a crash which killed a 36-year old man around 5 o’ clock last evening.

The crash happened when the motorbike the man was driving hit a bridge at Killavoher around 5p.m.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene but the man, who was from the Dunmore area, died as a result of his injuries.

He was taken to University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem examination and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them at Tuam Garda Station.
