ROAD FROM GALWAY TO SHANNON TO BE OPEN BY 2011

It’s envisaged that the N18 Oranmore to Crusheen dual carriageway will be open by 2011, according to Galway West T.D and Minister, Éamon Ó Cuív.

The construction contract for the Crusheen to Gort section of the road is due to be awarded next month [Sept].

The second section, from Gort to Oranmore is at tender right now.

Minister Ó Cuív says there will be a road all the way from Galway to Shannon within the next 3 years.
