Retro country from husband and wife team

Country music duo, My Darling Clementine will play Monroe’s Live this Sunday.

The husband and wife team, Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish, have a classic country sound with a retro style which they have showcased on two highly acclaimed albums, How Do You Plead? (2011) and The Reconciliation? from 2013.

Inspired by the classic duets of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, their blueprint was to make records that sound like they were from the late 1960s or early 1970s and to embrace the whole ‘countrypolitan ‘look of that time. Their retro onstage look, their classic artwork style and their music’s presentation all add to their appeal.

Their growing legion of fans includes such figures as Graham Norton, Bob Harris and Paul O’Grady. Fresh from tours throughout the UK and Europe, they now take to the stage at Monroe’s Live.
