‘Result’ the only thing

GALWAY United manager Tony Cousins doesn’t care if his side takes one point or three from tonight’s game with Waterford United in the RSC (kick-off 7.45pm), his only goal is to get some kind of a return from the game which will secure their Premier Division status next season.

United need only take a point to ensure they can’t be caught by either Longford Town or Waterford United, but when asked about what he was looking for from tonight’s game, the United managerwas sharp and to the point: “Get a result”.

When pressed as to whether he would send his side out looking to take a point, he was no more forthcoming, saying the only important thing was”getting a result, it doesn’t matter, just get a result”.
