RESOLUTION HOPED TODAY FOR GALWAY DOCKS SHIP ARREST

The cargo ship ‘Thor Gitta’ which is under arrest at Galway Docks, is hoping to load two ferries shortly for a journey to Mauritius.

Despite earlier reports from Harbour Authorities that the ship could be detained for several days, it now looks more likely that she will continue her onward journey soon.

The cargo ship is due to bring two ferries from Galway to Mauritius.

The vessel was placed under arrest at Galway Docks by order of the High Court yesterday and is now under the control of Customs and Excise.
