RESIDENTS MEET MINISTER OVER ILLEGALLY PARKED TRAVELLERS

The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon O’Cuiv has offered to liaise with the Department of Justice and Law Reform to examine changing legislation concerning illegally parked travellers.

The Minister met with residents of Ballybane last evening in a bid to resolve the row over illegally parked travellers in their estate.

The Traveller families, who’re believed to be from Clare and Tipperary, were issued with a 24-hour notice to move by the City Council yesterday morning.
